Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?
Our mission is to grow the social entrepreneurial community in Charlotte and the surrounding area. Growing a partnership with Kiva Zip aligns with our goals and helps to further our mission in the community.
What is the mission of your organization?
Queen City Forward is a non-profit organization that exists to dramatically increase the creation, scale and impact of social enterprises in Charlotte, NC.
In the past, how effective have you been in achieving this mission?
We are continually growing our community by providing effective resources and events for our members and the broader social entrepreneur community in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding area.

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?
Queen City Forward focuses on entrepreneurs (for-profit and nonprofit) that have a strong social mission. We will review financial plan and business plan of candidate and assess viability and scalability of the plan.
How do you plan to support the borrower, both before and after the loan is disbursed?
Queen City Forward is an incubator for social entrepreneurs and will be available for access to space, talent (interns & mentors) , pathways to capital, and advocacy.
How will you help us ensure that the loans you endorse have a significant and positive social impact?
Queen City Forward was built to assist businesses with a triple bottom line meaning businesses that have a focus on people, planet, and profit. QCF will focus on social enterprises that have a strong positive social impact and therefor add value to their community.
